Gene Carson and Damon Wilson Earn CIAA Weekly Honor
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore kicker Gene Carson, II along with Bulldogs head football coach Damon Wilson were named to the CIAA weekly honor roll for week #2 as selected by the conference's head coaches and Sports Information Directors on Mondayafternoon. Carson converted all four of his PAT's against the Rams and booted a 36-yard field goal in the Bulldogs 31-13 road victory at Winston-Salem State. He averaged 56.3 yards per kickoff and had one touchback. The win over the Rams was the first in Wilson's coaching career and keeps his Bulldogs undefeated at 2-0.
Bowie State will hit the road for the third straight time this weekend, making a stop in Raleigh (N.C.) to take on Saint Augustine's University (0-2) at 1 p.m. in the George Williams Complex on campus.
