Jordan, Hall and Britton Selected to CIAA Weekly Football Honor Roll
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three Bowie State University football players earned CIAA weekly honors for Week #3 as selected by the conference's head coaches and Sports Information Directors on Monday afternoon. Senior Diontae Jordan (Bladensburg, Md.) was named Offensive Lineman of the Week while junior Amir Hall (Bowie, Md.) was tabbed Quarterback of the Week (for the second time) and fellow junior Brandon Britton (Columbia, Md.) was selected Receiver of the Week.
Jordan played a major part in helping the Bulldogs roll up 707 of total yards in total offense in their 66-20 romp at Saint Augustine’s University. Hall pretty much had his way against the Falcons defense, breaking his own school record by throwing for 433 passing yards, completing 26-of-35 passes (no Interceptions) and six touchdowns which also broke his own school record. He also ranked second on the team in rushing with 63 yards and scored two touchdown. Britton had a record setting game as well, hauling in a game-high eight receptions for 185 yards and a new BSU Single Game Record four touchdowns .
No. 23 Bowie State will make its home debut this Saturday (September 23rd), hosting Shaw University at 6 p.m. in Bulldogs Stadium.
